General Clinton moved the Continental Army to New York because he didn't have a way to move horses over the sea. George Washington sent a half of his army to attack the British. General Lee found British and fought, but ended up retreating. George Washington wanted to counter attack and took the defensive positions. This ended in a draw, and neither side won.
