Entry 7~ May 1778

A chain was added across the Hudson River by the rebels to form an obstacle for Britain. The British evacuated Philadelphia and marched carefully through New Jersey (where I am) to New York. When George Washington found out, he marched his army into New Jersey and as they met up I felt terror creeping in. They were about to fight in my own colony.
